1977 Gibson RD Standard
How's that for a huge hunk of Maple? This is a fairly rare bird, with production of the Standard only running from 77 to 79. The body seems to be based on a reverse Firebird, although you could make it sound a little more eloquent by calling it an "hour glass" figure. Not sure why you'd want to do that though. This guitar is not eloquent.
The RD Standard is the most Gibson-like of the RD Series - the other two models featured active electronics that despite being designed by Bob Moog himself, weren't well received by Gibson fans.
The Standard is just a big old hunk of Maple with Gibson Series VII humbuckers, two volumes, two tones, three-way toggle, and an angry disposition. Huge case included.
