This Classic is practically a Standard, but with a couple of minor differences (as far as I can tell):

1. It's got that delicious Honeyburst finish, which isn't a normal finish for a Standard.
2. Gibson put the same pickups in the Classic as they did in the Explorer (496R in the neck, and the super-powerful 500T in the bridge) which gives it a bit more grit on the overdrive scale.

Aside from that, it plays and feels as familiar as any Les Paul, with its slim 60s neck and familiar Maple on Mahogany body weight. This is a great way to add an ever-so-slightly unusual Gibson to the collection.
